This is a 15 hour class conducted over two consecutive days. This class is held at 407 Gun Club in Argyle Texas
Description:
- This advanced training program is designed for individuals pursuing certification as Personal Protection Officers (PPOs) in Texas. The course provides specialized instruction in executive protection, threat assessment, risk mitigation, and defensive techniques to ensure the safety and security of clients, including high-profile individuals and at-risk persons.
- Participants will learn the principles of personal protection, the legal framework governing PPOs in Texas, and the skills required to operate in various security environments. Emphasis is placed on situational awareness, client relationship management, and the ability to respond effectively to threats and emergencies while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Eligibility:
Texas Administrative Code §35.91 says the applicant must either: Already possess a valid Commissioned Security Officer license, or Submit an application for a Commissioned Security Officer license at the same time as the Level IV application.
What This Means:
You can take the Level IV training course before your Level III license is officially issued by DPS. However, the Level IV license will not be approved until your Level III commission is processed and active.
